                                 THE SHEPHERD BOY

A shephred boy used to take sheep to a jungle. He was very noughty. Once he thought  of a mischief. In the jungle, he began to shout, “wolf! Wolf”! the villagers come running with their sticks and axes. But there was no wolf. The boy laughed. They felt angry at his joke and went back. One day a wolf really came there. The shepherd boy cried out at the top of his voice. “wolf !wolf !” but the people thought he was joking. So that did not come for his help. The wolf killed many sheep. His joke had caused him a great loss.

Mahatma Gandhi is called the father of Nation. He was born on 2^nd October,1869 at Pordander in Gujarat. His full name was Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi. His mother was a pious lady. After passing the Matriculation examination,he was sent to England to study law. He become lawyer.

He want to south Africa in 1893 to fight a case But there he had to fight against the cruelty of the Britishers. He started Satyagraha. He was sent to jail several time. Later he came to India. He worked for the freedom of India. He followed truth and Ahismsa. He got the freedom of the country on 15^th August 1947.  He worked for Hindu-Muslim Unity. He fought for untouchhability .He was shot dead by Nathu Ram Godse a fundamentalist on January 30, 1948. He is remembered by the whole word. Indians call him Bapu. His ideals ever remain for us to follow.
