Mahatma
Gandhi is called the father of Nation. He was born on 2nd October,1869 at Pordander in Gujarat. His full name was Mohan Das Karam Chand
Gandhi. His mother was a pious lady. After passing the Matriculation examination,he
was sent to England to study law. He become lawyer.
He want to
south Africa in 1893 to fight a case But there he had to fight against the
cruelty of the Britishers. He started Satyagraha. He was sent to jail several
time. Later he came to India. He worked for the freedom of India. He followed
truth and Ahismsa. He got the freedom of the country on 15th August
1947. He worked for Hindu-Muslim Unity.
He fought for untouchhability .He was shot dead by Nathu Ram Godse a fundamentalist
on January 30, 1948. He is remembered by the whole word. Indians call him Bapu.
His ideals ever remain for us to follow.
