THE SHEPHERD BOY
A shephred boy used to take sheep to a jungle. He was very
noughty. Once he thought of a mischief.
In the jungle, he began to shout, “wolf! Wolf”! the villagers come running with
their sticks and axes. But there was no wolf. The boy laughed. They felt angry
at his joke and went back. One day a wolf really came there. The shepherd boy
cried out at the top of his voice. “wolf !wolf !” but the people thought he was
joking. So that did not come for his help. The wolf killed many sheep. His joke
had caused him a great loss.
